The HURRICANE H2 is intended for vessels up to 50 feet long and provides 35,000 True Output BTU. It can be paired with an ITR distribution module, or plumbed through the coil of a separate water heater or heat exchanger to produce on-demand potable hot water. Burner output is augmented by a 1500 watt electric element (available in 120 or 240 VAC) that provides a supplemental 5,000 BTU under shore power. The HURRICANE H2 features a marine grade stainless steel tank and rugged marine-grade stainless steel casing. The H2 system offers space heating for five separate thermostatically controlled zones. Optional features include the ability to absorb engine waste heat into the system to improve efficiency and an engine pre-heat option to prevent engine cold-starts.
The HURRICANE H2 is compatible with the ITRTouch™ remote control interface, which provides an easy and intuitive means of operating and diagnosing the system.
Like all HURRICANE heating systems, the HURRICANE H2 is built on a patented low-pressure burner platform that offers uniquely safe, quiet, “no-smoke, no-smell,” technology, while also improving efficiency and lengthening system maintenance cycles.
